MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
SIGN UP FORM
Apply by September 3, 2025!
GAPABA is proud to launch the 2025 Mentorship Program, hosted by New Lawyers & Law Students (NLLS) and the Professional Acceleration and Transformation Committee (PA&TC). The Mentorship Program will match Georgia-based GAPABA members for a one-year program. The program includes two components, and is open to: (1) all law students and (2) practicing attorneys, including attorneys in private practice, in-house, government, and public interest settings. Please be sure to be mindful of the categories when completing the form. Mentor and mentee pairs will be revealed in late September, and will be invited to attend the GAPABA Fall Picnic on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Active GAPABA membership is required to participate.
This is an opportunity for professionals in the Georgia community to build relationships that they can carry with them through their long career. GAPABA endeavors to match attorneys on several different criteria including, but not limited to, career progression, practice type, work experiences, and personal circumstances. The
applications will provide both Mentors and Mentees the opportunity to share details that will help us determine the best matches.
For example, if there are specific professional challenges that you are facing and would like to be paired with a mentor who has undergone similar circumstances (e.g., work-life balance; career burnout; transitioning to a new practice area or setting, etc.), please share in your application so that we can be mindful when making mentorship pairs. We similarly encourage prospective mentors to share specific professional challenges that they have overcome in their applications. The folks overseeing this process are GAPABA leaders who have been tremendously humbled to have excellent mentors to guide them, and the more information they have from applicants to help pay it forward - the better! Good luck and may this process lead to great connections and professional development!
