GAPABA is extremely proud to announce that the Hon. Alvin T. Wong, State Court of DeKalb County, will receive two very prestigious awards from the State Bar of Georgia at the 2017 Annual Meeting.
Judge Wong will receive the 2017 Tradition of Excellence Award (sponsored by the General Practice & Trial Law Section, one of the largest bar sections) and also the 16th Annual Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Award (sponsored by the Bench & Bar Committee consisting of the Past Presidents of the State Bar, given to one judge and one lawyer who have and continue to demonstrate the highest professional conduct and paramount reputation for professionalism).
We strongly encourage our members to attend the Annual Meeting to celebrate and support one of GAPABA's Titans and Founders. Registration Deadlines to attend and timing of awards:
Convention Hotel Cut-Off Date: May 5 (to receive discounted rates)
Early Bird Registration Cut-Off Date: Friday, May 12
The Tradition of Excellence Awards: Friday, June 9th, 7 - 9 am, at the Tradition of Excellence Breakfast (General Practice & Trial Law Section)
The Chief Justice Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Awards will be given out at the Plenary Session, which follows, from 9 am - Noon (usually in the first hour or so)
