VOLUNTEERING WITH

GAPABA SUPERSTAR MENTORS!

Have you ever wanted to participate in a meaningful volunteer activity with a mentor? This is your chance! This Holiday Season, GAPABA has created the Legacy Mentorship Program, with the idea of having law students and younger associates pair up with some of GAPABA's most distinguished mentors (including in-house counsel, partners, judges, and experienced attorneys), to work together in serving the community. This gives mentors and mentees an opportunity to interact in a meaningful way, deepening bonds as we help others. CHILDREN WELCOME.

NOTE: EVERYONE who signs up must also fill out this form with the Atlanta Food Bank:

About the Product Rescue Center:

The Product Rescue Center (PRC) provides a great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. Groups and individual volunteers come together to inspect, sort, and pack quality grocery donations to prepare for distribution to over 600 partner agencies across Georgia.

Parking: Upon arrival into the main entrance (look for the big high sign with our orange peach logo), the parking lot will be to your left (on slight hill). After exiting your vehicle, look left for the fence covered walkway (affectionately known as “the cage”) with the Product Rescue Center Volunteers sign. Follow the fenced walkway to the PRC door.

Dress Code: Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required, with sneakers or work boots recommended. Flips flops, sandals or heeled shoes are not allowed. Please wear comfortable clothing you do not mind getting a bit rumpled.

Food Donations: With 1 in every 5 Georgians and 1 in 4 Georgia children at risk of hunger, the number of people requesting emergency food assistance continues to grow. If every volunteer visiting our Product Rescue Center brings just two cans of food, we would be able to provide approximately 2,750 additional meals each month!

Please consider bringing as many nonperishable items as you can. You're already making a tremendous difference by volunteering. Think how much that can be magnified by grabbing a couple of food items to bring with you when you come! We're always in need of natural peanut butter, canned chicken, and canned fruits & vegetables.
