TOPIC 2: Business Interruption Damages from COVID-19: What Every Business Owner Needs to Know
Ms. Min Koo is Principle of her own plaintiff’s law firm representing individuals, consumers, small and global companies that have suffered damages as a result of wrong doing. With over 15 years of trial and insurance expertise, Min is uniquely qualified for and is dedicated to helping injured individuals and their families. Previously, she developed her litigation expertise worked as a trial attorney working with major insurance companies. While working at one of the largest insurance defense firms in the country, her skills and reputation caught the attention of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Company, which then scouted her for its legal team in Seoul, S. Korea. There, she was promoted to Global General Counsel and Head of Global Legal. As the Head of Global Legal, Min was responsible for all individual and class action personal injury, property damage, product liability and commercial litigation worldwide. Additionally, she handled all international arbitrations involving Samsung or its insureds. Her litigation and leadership skills were recognized both in and outside of Samsung; during her tenure, Samsung was awarded Best Legal Department among Southeast Asian countries. After six years in Korea, Min returned to Georgia to be closer to her family and decided to devote her practice to helping injured victims.
