Sign up to commit to at least one 3-hour shift at a Poll Site near you on Nov. 8th, Midterm Election Day, to document voter problems and the availability of language assistance. We will also conduct critical NON-PARTISAN EXIT-POLLING of AAPI Voters! Provide real-time vote protection and employer our communities to be Visible and Heard!
AALDEF will provide volunteers with a 1-hour training on Voting Rights, Language Access and Voter Protection. For Attorneys looking to earn CLE credits, the training will be 1.5 hours. If the training is in-person, proof of full vaccination required.
According to the 2020 Census, AAPIs are the fastest growing racial minority group in the U.S., numbering over 20 million. That makes the AAPI vote more important than ever!
DESCRIPTION:
On Election Day, November 8, 2022, the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) will dispatch attorneys and volunteers to document voter problems and the availability of language assistance. We will also conduct a nonpartisan multilingual exit poll to get a snapshot of Asian American candidate preferences, party enrollment, and issues of significance to Asian American voters. AALDEF has conducted exit polls of Asian American voters and monitored polls in every major election since 1988. We are committed to enforce voter protection to make sure no one is turned away on Election Day.
- If you have never volunteered with us before, you *must* attend a training and select a training date. If you have previously volunteered with us before, the training is optional.
- You will receive your Exit Poll assignment on the LAST week of October. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
