Fall is a time for harvesting. Join GAPABA's Community Service Committee for a morning of gardening at the Metro Atlanta Urban Farm. The farm grows more than 8 varieties of vegetables and has several acres of growing space, growing tunnels and a community garden on site.
Activity: Volunteers will be helping with weeding, planting, cleaning out grow tunnels, spreading woodchips around fruit trees, and some farm beautification projects. You don't need any gardening experience, just a willingness to learn and work outdoors!
Parking: The farm is located behind a large, white house on Main Street. Volunteers can enter through the driveway (located right next to a Marathon Gas Station) and park behind the house.
What to wear: Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes or boots with a tread on the bottom. Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Long pants or jeans is recommended.
Provided: GAPABA will provide water and snacks. There is a restroom on site.
