In the past four years, more AAPIs have been appointed to the Georgia bench than ever before. AAPI attorneys have seen success in appointments to non-elected judicial positions, with representation now in multiple lower courts -- magistrate, municipal, juvenile, probate and recorders’ courts. In seeking to build a pipeline to our higher Courts of Record (State and Superior Courts, GA Court of Appeals and the GA Supreme Court), GAPABA's Public Service Committee is hosting this panel to illuminate the process of seeking judicial appointments through paths beyond the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission. How does the process work in various counties and cities? We have an esteemed panel of judges who will share their stories and answer questions:
